Ipswich Town’s reserve team are due to play a friendly against Cambridge United reserve side to compensate for cancelled fixtures.

A number of Town’s reserve games over the last month have been called off due to bad weather including the local derby against Norwich City.

With a number of First team players returning from injury reserve team coach Steve McCall is egger to change.

McCall: “Gerard Nash, Drissa Diallo and Jimmy Juan all need games after coming back from injury but because of the weather and other factors we have lost out on three or four matches recently, we are trying to rearrange dates for some reserve league matches at the moment but it's not proving to be easy.

“It was important that we set up something for next week to get the players going again for 90 minutes.”

The game should take place on the 16th of march at Town's training ground, kick-off midday.
