McGarry Passes On

Former Ipswich Town, Wolves and Newcastle united manager Bill McGarry has sadly died after a long illness aged 77.

McGarry who was Town manager for four years between 1964 and 1968 and won promotion to old first division in the 67/68 season before being allowed to join wolves in November 68 where he won the UEFA Cup in 1972 and the league cup in 1974 he then went on manage Newcastle between 77 and 1980, in 1985 he returned to Wolves for just 61 days.

His funeral will take place on Saturday in South Africa, The Singing The Blues staff would like to pass on their deepest sympathy to his family.
