Bent Eyeing U21 Game

Ipswich Town striker Darren Bent says he is looking forward to playing at Hull’s KC stadium against the German U21 side.

Bent has already scored twice for Peter Taylor’s side at the KC stadium after coming on as a substitute against Holland in 2004 and Serbia and Montenegro in 2003 scoring winners in both games.

Bent: “People say it's my lucky stadium, I'm not sure what it is but hopefully it will be three out of three against Germany.

“I scored two against them (Germany) at Under-19 level a couple of years ago in a 3-1 win and some of the guys in their team that night will be playing.”

Bent also admitted having faith in his own ability adding: “You have to believe in yourself, I believe in myself and I'm confident if I moved to the Premiership, I could score goals, If you have an eye for goal, you will do well anywhere.

“I feel I have what it takes but I have a long way to go to improve and I will work hard to do so.

“I have had quite a good season, because I have scored at both club and international levels and that is important.”
