Royle's Reaction: Town 3-2 Derby

Reaction from Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle following Town’s 3-2 win against Derby County earlier today.

Royle: “It was a good game of football with loads of chances but we could and should have won by more than the odd goal, we have hit the woodwork, missed from two inches and seen shots cleared off the line and to be honest, we could have scored 10.

“We were sloppy to start off with and gave them a goal but our front two were the difference.

“Shefki was the hardest working player on the pitch and he and Darren were excellent for us.

“They caused Derby problems all day, especially when the ball was played over the top. Their pace was difficult to handle and I was delighted with their performance.

“Tommy Miller is right on his game now, not just scoring goals but his all round play is excellent as well.

“And it was great to see Jim Magilton get on the scoresheet. The skipper had a fine match and we just took him off 15 minutes from time to save him for Tuesday's game against Rotherham.”
