Jim Wants Better

Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton has called for his team mates not to repeat the performance they put in against Rotherham last night.

Although Town won the game 4-3 and moved up to 2nd in the table above Wigan who dropped to third after defeat against Sunderland and Jim is happy that Town moved up a place but not so happy about the team switching off.

Jim: “We are where we want to be, in the automatic promotion places with five games left and there is everything to play for, but we shown a fragile side on occasions as a team unit and that reared its ugly head against Rotherham again.

“Good teams would have gone on and won that game five or six but we switched off at 4-1 and let them back into the match.

“Full credit to Rotherham for that but we have to learn that you do the right things every second of every day of your football career. You don't just switch on and off.

“The gaffer had a few harsh words to say after the game and I agreed with him. I hope we go on from here and remember those words.

“Our fate is in our own hands now. We have five games to go and we have to focus on them one by one and get the job done.”
