Player Reaction: Crewe

April 30 2005
Reaction from Town pair Richard Naylor and Ian Westlake, following Town’s 5-1 win against Crewe today.
Naylor: “We're keeping the season
alive; we came out of the traps really well today and got a couple of goals and
looked comfortable from there on. It's given us a chance and that's all we can
do. With Wigan
losing a couple of points today against Preston, it was
important that we kept the pressure on. We're going in to the last game and
anything can happen. Reading are a decent side and they'll be right up for it
next week against Wigan; and when teams need to win
anything can happen: it makes for an exciting end to the end of the season. The
atmosphere in the dressing-room is good; we're pleased with the way we performed
today.”
Westlake:
“It was a really good team performance today and everyone stuck to their tasks
and played some good stuff and scored some good goals. It was nice to get
involved in the first two goals; it's always nice to set Jim up - it's nice to
get a bit of praise from him! I was pleased with my pass to Shefki and he put it
away really well. We've got to go to Brighton and
steamroller them. We'll put the pressure on Wigan; if
we're up at half-time Wigan will be very nervous. We're
not talking of Play-Offs here!”
