Currie: It Won't Be Easy

Ipswich Town midfielder Darren Currie believes that next Sunday’s game against Brighton will not be 3 points in the bag.

Currie, who joined Town from Brighton in December for £250,000 has said: “I know all about the advantages it has to the home team. And they use it as much as they can. Big clubs do not enjoy playing there with the running track and the temporary stands.

"Sunderland lost at the Withdean, and we must watch out on Sunday.”

Currie is obviously putting Town first but he would not like he former club to be relegated, he added: “My aim will be to try and help Ipswich gain automatic promotion. I don't want to put Brighton down and hopefully other results will go their way."

“What more could we ask for than knowing that a result could put us in the Premiership if Wigan slip up at home to Reading?”
