Miller Backs Strikers

Ipswich Town midfielder Tommy Miller believes that Town’s strike force will give them the edge over West Ham in the play-offs.

Miller who has scored 15 goals this season believes that Darren Bent and Shefki Kuqi will give Town an edge over West Ham.

 

Miller: “They have been outstanding, they've scored 19 goals each this season and they are just a great partnership and so vital to us.

 

“More will be said about Darren because of his age but Shefki is only 28 and he has still got a chance of making it.”

 

Bent who is reportedly being watched by a number of premiership clubs the latest of which is Birmingham City and Miller admits it will be hard for Town to keep the striker if they fail in promotion, adding: “We all know Darren can go all the way, he scores goals for fun - he's done it for the England Under-21s and for us in the league.

 

“If we don't go up, it's going to be hard to keep hold of him.”

 

Miller has played in three previous play-off campaigns two with Hartlepool and last year with Town, believes the squad to be confident, saying: “We know we can beat anyone on our day, we have come back stronger this year. We are playing better and have been in the top two or three all season so we are confident.”
