Shefki To Sunderland?

Ipswich Town striker Shefki Kuqi is being linked with a move to newly promoted Sunderland as they search for a target man.

The 28-year-old who scored 19 goals for Town this season is currently out of contract has hinted he would sign a new contract but may be tempted to move to Sunderland to play premiership football.

 

Sunderland Boss Mick McCarthy reportedly wants to add 8 players to his championship winning side to try and survive in the premier league next season and with only 3 strikers currently at the club, one of which might miss a large part of the season with a knee injury. Should McCarthy want to sign Shefki he wouldn’t have to pay because his contract expires next month.
