Royle: Don’t Panic

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle says he is closing in on new signings and he believes that change could be could for the team.
Six of Town’s senior players from last season will not be returning for preseason training: Pablo Couñago and Drissa Diallo are both being released, Darren Bent and Kelvin Davis have been sold to premiership while Shefki Kuqi and Tommy Miller have rejected the two year deals offered to them by Town.
Royle: “Players come and go, that's the nature of football, change can be good anyway and can have a positive effect on a team.
“We will be bringing new players in, that's for sure and things are moving in the right direction although it's not a race.
“We will make our move when things are in place and we think we have the right players to fit into this Club.
“We also have some very good young players coming through the ranks and while it's a big step up- to go from Academy and reserve team football to the first-team, they will be hungry and eager to show they are ready - and if they prove they are ready, they will get their chance.
“So there will be some new faces in our squad next season and hopefully some new heroes for the Tractor Boys and Girls.”
