Joe After Unsworth?

According to reports in the local press, Town manager Joe Royle is keen to sign Portsmouth defender David Unsworth.

The 31-year-old defender spent the last three months of last season on-loan to Town from Portsmouth, scoring on his debut against Sheffield United.

 

He has been told he is not needed by Portsmouth boss Alain Perrin but he has a year left on his Portsmouth contract so a permanent move from Pompey to Town is unlikely unless he can agree a pay off or Town can agree a season long loan with Portsmouth paying most of the defenders wages.
