McD Set To Start

Dean McDonald is set to make his first Ipswich Town start when Town take on Atletico Madrid on Friday night.

The 19-year-old winger/striker joined Town from Arsenal last summer is likely to join Sam Parkin up front in place of one of the injured duo of Nicky Forster and Dean Bowditch.

 

Town manager Joe Royle: “If we were preparing for the last game of the season and we needed three points it might be different.

 

“We might strap them up and get them out there, but there's no need to take changes at this point in time.”
