Michael Ball Linked

According to reports in a tabloid newspaper Town have asked Scottish Champions Rangers if they can take Michael Ball on loan.

The 26-year-old left back has made 53 appearances for Rangers since joining from Everton for £6.5million in 2001 only 14 of them coming last season, he was at Everton at the same time that Joe Royle was manager but did not make his debut until after Royle resigned from Goodison Park.

 

It is well know Town are short on defenders and that Joe Royle would another left back as competition for Matt Richards and it would appear Ball, who currently has just one England cap would be ideal but any deal would be dependant on wages.
