Sturrock Praises Town

Sheffield Wednesday manager Paul Sturrock has praised Town after watching his side lose 2-1 at Portman Road earlier today.

A goal each from Richard Naylor and Ian Westlake gave Town a two goal after 70 minutes before Lee Peacock pulled one back for the Owls with 10 minutes left.

 

Sturrock: “We perhaps gave Ipswich too much respect in the first-half but they passed the ball so well and looked a good side.

 

“That was a real Championship team and we know that is the level we have to step up to in this division.

 

“All their players looked comfortable on the ball and they out passed us for periods of the match.”
