James Explains Move

Loaning James McEveley explains why he choose to move from Blackburn to Town on a seasons long loan.

The 20-year-old defender, who can play as a left or centre back had chances to move to other championship clubs but opted for Town because of our style of play.

 

James: “I've had offers to go elsewhere but once I found out that Ipswich wanted me my mind was made up straightaway.

 

“I want and need to play first-team football but it's important that the club I join plays in a style that suits my game.

 

“I know Ipswich like to pass the ball around and play good football, more than some Championship teams do who play the long ball so that was a big reason to come here.

 

“I'm looking forward to getting started now and hopefully I can help Ipswich enjoy a good run while I'm here as well.”
