Naylor: Next Four Important

Ipswich Town defender Richard Naylor believes Town’s next four games will have a big bearing on where Town finish this year.

Town play Sheffield United, Southampton, Norwich and Crystal Palace in the next four games, all games which Naylor believes will prove if Town are promotion contenders or not.

                                                      

Naylor: “They (Sheffield United) have spent money and are a force to be reckoned with.

 

“Along with Southampton, Norwich and Crystal Palace - our next three opponents - they are teams we need to take points off if we are to be considered serious promotion threats.

 

“I am under no illusions, the next few weeks will be very hard - and a good test of our credentials.

 

“It is a huge season for Ipswich and I want to play a big part. Bearing in my mind the number of quality players who have left over the last two years it is going to be more difficult this time to make an impression.

 

“We have some excellent youngsters coming through, but you cannot expect them to turn it on every match. The club needs to play them, but it takes time. Our supporters are very good with newcomers and it they remain patient it will help our emerging crop of talented kids a great deal.”
