No Penalty Fear For Matt

Ipswich Town midfielder Matt Richards says he had no fear before stepping up to take Town’s penalty against Plymouth today.
Matt stated last week he would like to take a penalty if one came up and today he got his chance and he made no mistake when he slotted home the spot kick for his second in two games.
Matt: “I know Darren or Fozzie would have had the kick but I said before the game that I was happy to take one and the gaffer nominated me, I had no hesitation about it when the referee pointed to the spot and grabbed the ball. I felt confident I would score and just waited for the 'keeper to dive.
“It was a vital kick because they had just got back into the game but once we were 3-1 up, it was always going to be difficult for them to get back in the match.
“It was a big win for us as well because we are going into a two week break and you don't want to be hanging around that long for the next game after a defeat.”
