Sam On Injury Blow

Ipswich Town striker Sam Parkin says he bitterly disappointed at the prospect of missing the next four months of the season.
Parkin left the pitch after only 17 minutes of Town’s game against
Sam: “I'm obviously sick about it. I knew I had done something as soon as it happened but I wasn't sure what, I'm not exactly sure how it happened either. I was caught by their centre-half and then got my studs stuck in the pitch as well as I turned. It could have been a combination of both.
“I knew I had to come off and left the ground on crutches but it was murder when I went to bed and the ankle had swollen right up.
“I'm seeing the specialist later today and he will make a decision on whether I need surgery or not but I'm expecting that to be the case.
“It's the first time I have suffered a break so I'm not sure what the recovery time is but it's a bitterly disappointing, whatever it is.”
