Royle Knocked Back

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has revealed he was knocked back three times yesterday as he tried to sign a striker.

Royle was urgently trying to sign a striker as cover for Sam Parkin who is currently sidelined after breaking his ankle.

 

Royle: “I spoke to three different Premiership clubs about bringing someone in on loan before Thursday's deadline, but the answer was the same each time - nothing doing.

 

“We got quite warm on Wednesday night and I was hopeful of getting something sorted, but it didn't happen in the end.”
