Ipswich Town defender Richard Naylor has spoke of his relief after X-Rays relieved no bones in hand have been broken.

Naylor’s hand was stepped on during the first half on Town’s draw with QPR on Saturday and he left the pitch at full time with a swollen hand before going to hospital.

Naylor: “It is still sore and swollen but, thankfully, the X-rays showed there is no break. It looks like it is just badly bruised but should be fine for Saturday, which is a relief.”

Naylor will be fine for Saturday’s game against Sheffield Wednesday and he may start up-front for Town with Adam Proudlock not allowed to play against the Owls.
