Joe Aiming For Strikers

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle has revealed that he is aiming to bring in at least one striker in during the transfer window.
Town currently only have three strikers in the first team squad that are fit and available for selection, Nicky Forster, Danny Haynes and Dean Bowditch.
The other strikers are all injured, Sam Parkin is out until around February, Billy Clarke is out for around six weeks and Adam Proudlock should be soon.
Joe: “We are struggling for options up front.
“Danny is not quite ready yet and Dean is a little out of sorts but we are short on numbers in the striking department at the moment.
“Fozzie is our only experienced frontman and we will be looking at bringing in at least one new striker in the January transfer window, maybe even two, probably on loan or on a Bosman.”
Yesterday it was revealed that Joe had made a move for Robbie Fowler and earlier in the week a failed loan bid for Spurs striker Grzegorz Rasiak also appeared.
