Three Set For Deals

Ipswich Town defenders Fabian Wilnis and Jason De Vos along with midfielder Matt Richards are set to be offered new deals by Town.

All three are out of contract in the summer and Town manager Joe Royle hopes to get all three tied into new deals as soon as possible, it is believed that Wilnis and De Vos will be offered one year deals while Richards is likely to get something longer.

 

Town manager Joe Royle has not confirmed the offers to Wilnis and De Vos but has confirmed Town are talking with Matt’s agent, saying: “Talks are taking place with Matt and his agent about extending his contract. We are delighted with his progress this season.

 

“We know Matt is happy here and he has made a telling contribution as a midfielder. In his last two games he has set up Danny Haynes for his goal against Leeds and it was from his cross that we scored the winner at Norwich on Sunday.

 

“When you add key moments like that to the industrious side of his game you have a top player - and one we want to keep at this club.”
