Kanu After Deal

Ipswich Town triallist Nwoso ‘Henry’ Kanu is hoping to impress Joe Royle enough during his short trial spell to be able to play in England.

The Nigerian is the half brother of Nwankwo Kanu at West Brom, has spent most of his playing career in Germany apart from a short spell in Greece last year which ended unhappily   

 

His agent is former Town player Colin Viljoen represents Nwoso who goes by the name of Henry and it was Colin who made this move possible.

 

Henry: “Colin used to manage a friend of mine that was in the same U23 team that played in the 2000 Olympics, he's made it possible for me to come to Ipswich.

 

“I'm here for two days and really looking forward to it. Hopefully I can do well.

 

“I'd love the chance to play in England. I've spent most of my career in Germany and there are many similarities between the way football is played in the two countries.

 

“I don't know anything really about Ipswich, only that Finidi George played here, but the stadium looks impressive.”
