Fuller Confidence

On-loan Southampton striker Ricardo Fuller is confident he can do an “Alan Lee” and get off to a flying start at Town.

The 26-year-old forward is on-loan for a month from George Burley’s Southampton as cover for Lee who is out for at least three weeks with a hamstring injury,  Fuller is expected to make his Town debut against Wolves tomorrow.  

 

Fuller: “I have seen how well Alan has done since he came to Portman Road.

 

“He was not getting much of a chance at Cardiff but his move to Ipswich has worked really well for him.

 

“Sometimes when players move to a new club that need time to settle in but Alan has made an immediate impact. He's playing games and scoring goals and the move has given him a confidence boost.

 

“I'm in the same situation as Alan was before he joined Ipswich. I have not played many games lately and am looking for regular first-team football.

 

“I had a good goals record in this league with Preston and I'm confident that if I can get a run of games, I can score goals.

 

“Ipswich play the style of football I like, a passing style and I'm looking forward to my time here and playing a part in helping the Club continue pushing up the table.”
