Share Issue Planned

Ipswich Town Chairman David Sheepshanks has once again stated Town will not need to sell players if season ticket sales remain high.

As well as season ticket sales, Town are planning a share issue in the summer, although it is unclear how money raised from this would be spent but it has been said in the past any money made would be invested in the playing squad unlike the previous issue which was to used to raise capital, but unlike the last share issue it will not be open to every one, just the larger share holders.

 

“I can categorically state that similar season ticket sales will mean no pressure to sell players,” said Sheepshanks.

 

“It would secure our current squad, but beyond that additional money would have to be found, and we are planning a new share issue in the summer.

 

“We have shown our desire to succeed by agreeing contracts with a number of players over the last few weeks and we are looking ahead with optimism.

 

“But we need a same level of season ticket sales and the next two weeks are very important to us all.”
