Royle Wanted By Rams?

Reports in a tabloid newspaper are suggesting that the consortium trying to buy Derby County want to hire Joe Royle as manager.

The group of five Derby businessman, headed up by former Derby County chairman Peter Gadsby are currently looking at the books at Pride Park to discover the extent of the Rams debt which is believed to be in excess of £40million before taking over the club.

 

Joe has a year left on his current contract and he has said that Town will be his last job in management before retiring, but a suitable deal for the 57 year old manager may tempt him away from Portman Road.
