Royle Link Dismissed

Town manager Joe Royle and the consortium wanting to buy Derby County have both denied reports linking Royle with the managers job at Pride Park.

Joe who turned 57 on Saturday has said many times that the Town job will be his last in football and it seems that is still the case.

 

Royle: “I'm very happy here at Ipswich, if a little frustrated after Saturday. Also, I can't disguise that I do wonder what might have happened if we could have speculated more.”

 

Peter Gadsby: “We understand that there will be lots of speculation regarding the manager's position, as there always is with these type of things, but there will be no discussion about a manager until we have secured the club.

 

“If and when there are discussions, they will be kept confidential until we have appointed somebody.”
