Forster: “Obviously it was nice to score and to get back out there but we don't want the season to end on a damp squib.

“Unfortunately, during the past few games we've not performed as well as we know we can.

“Today was disappointing and, perhaps, in the manner of the loss. We're not defending as well as we can at the moment but we all have to take responsibility for that.

“Alan Lee made a great back header across the goal to me and I was delighted to put it away.

“The manager said after the game that it's not just the younger players who need to lift their game. The more experienced players have a big responsibility; we're all in the same boat. It a confidence thing; that's the reason we're not playing as well as we can. I just think that we need to be more diligent at times.

“It's been a disappointing day but we've got to look forward and be positive. In the last few games we're preparing for next season. We've got to show the gaffer that we want to be out there and a part of it.”
