Royle’s Reaction: Watford

Town manager Joe Royle again blamed the officials for another one of Town’s defeats this season following the 2-1 defeat against Watford today.

Royle: “It was a blatant penalty and the Watford players were laughing about it in the tunnel at the end, We have had an horrendous time with the officials this season and have had three blatant penalties turned down in the last four games.

“The lad that crossed it in for the second goal was offside as well so we have not been served by the officials very well yet again.

“We deserved something from the game though and I was happy with the general performance.

“We had a right go at them in the second-half and played a little more direct on a pitch where passing was very difficult to say the least.”
