Town skipper Jim Magilton is set to lead Town out for the final time at Portman Road on Saturday and he has said thanks for the memories.
Jim will be leaving Town in the summer, 7 years after his £682,500 transfer from Sheffield Wednesday and since then he has played over 300 times for Town scoring 21 goals. Jim: “The reception I received from the supporters when I came here will stick with me forever, I particularly remember the Huddersfield match at home before I signed. My dad came over for the game. We were going back to Belfast that night and he was the proudest man in the world. “I remember him saying that without any doubt I had to sign for Ipswich. He was overwhelmed by the whole experience and the reaction of the fans to me and I think I was too. “Since then the fans have been magnificent. Like all things, we've had our ups and downs. I'm not shy of giving my opinions and nor are our fans and I have always respected what they say. “They want success and they show their frustrations when they don't get it and I understand that.
