Supple: I’ve Learnt

Town goalkeeper Shane Supple says he has learnt from playing Championship football for Town this season.

The 18-year-old replaced Lewis Price as Town’s number 1 at the end of last year and he says that time will help be more ready for next season.

Supple: “There is no getting away from the fact that it's been a frustrating year for us.

“We threatened to push for the Play-Off but then had a big dip and the season has ended flatly for us.

“Confidence drifted out of the side and that can drag you down but I look at the whole experience as a learning curve. In football you are going to get highs and lows and it's important that the young players like myself learn from what's happened this season.

“I'm sure facing the problems we have had this year will make us stronger next time.

“For me personally, I've faced new challenges, certainly the physical side of playing week in, week out in the Championship and I feel better for it. I'm sure it will stand me in good stead for next year.”
