Bent To Toon?

Newcastle United are the latest club to be linked with a move for former Town striker Darren Bent during the summer.

No fee has been mentioned as yet but Town would be due around 20% of the profit Charlton make if the striker is to move on. Newcastle are also believed to be after Jermain Defoe and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

 

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the 22-year-old and with Fernando Morientes reportedly about to leave the rumours may prove to be true.

 

Bent scored 22 goals in league and cup for Charlton last season, yet was left out of the England squad.
