Reserves Remain At PR

Towns home reserve team games for next season will be staged at Portman Road, despite them dropping back into the Pontin's Holiday Combination League Eastern Division.

Club Secretary Sally Webb: “There will be 18 matches in the division and all our home games will all take place at Portman Road, we had the offer from Needham Market of playing some games there but Jim Magilton feels it's important that we play at Portman Road.

 

“Our groundsman, Alan Ferguson, is also happy with his calendar and the fact that less games will be played on the main pitch.

 

“We intend to play as many games as possible on the Monday or Tuesday, with a 7.00pm kick-off but the league is flexible so dates may change during the season.

 

“We have also been approached by a number of Premiership clubs about the possibility of playing friendlies next season.”
