Jordan Fined With Four Others

Jordan and four other top Formula One teams have been fined by the authorities in Italy for contravention of the countries Tobacco Publicity laws.

British American Racing, Ferrari, McLaren and Renault were also fined by police in Monza. The fines range from 2,820 Euros (£1,778.42) up to 28,200 Euros (£17,784.12).  Jordan have been fairly coy about the fine levied, however Tobacco Advertising on the car was quite prominent.

The teams weren't the only ones to be fined.  The owners of the Monza Circuit were also fined an undisclosed amount as they had been cited as accomplice to the offences.
