Giancarlo Fisichella has been confirmed as Jordan's Number One for 2003, however Takuma Sato's name along with that of the Arrows Grand Prix team did not appear on the official FIA entry list for next year.

The official list had only 10 teams registered and only 17 drivers listed.  Jordan and Minardi are now the only teams not to have announced their full driver line up.

Taku's seat is now effectively for sale to the highest bidder.  Jordan has openly said that whoever takes the seat will be decided purely on commercial grounds, however it's not possible to tell who has been able to put in the best bid. 

Speculation rests with four drivers.  Takuma who has sponsorship from Brother and quite possibly the best chance being the only Japanese driver in the formula today.  Enrique Bernoldi who has sponsorship from Red Bull who may consider switching to Jordan now that Arrows are no longer in the fray.  Enrique also has a modicum of experience of last years Cosworth engine, despite sitting out the last seven races of the season.  Felipe Massa who is Brazilian and Eddie Irvine who would need to be paid for his drive but could be in a three way with tobacco sponsors Benson and Hedges.  Pedro de la Rosa is also hunting for a seat, as are the fans of Jos Verstappen, desperate to see the Dutchman back in action.

Jordan's options are increasing with a number of well backed drives looking to fill the void left by Deutsche Post, however speculation will increase over number 2 through until the New Year.
