The rumour of the week has been posted by RTE Online saying that Eddie Irvine is to return to Jordan as test driver for the team. While this would be an interesting prospect, how could the Irish motor mouth ever fit into a test role?

Jordan's PR Executive Helen Temple however isn't aware of any conversation with Irvine to that effect!

Jordan are still talking to several drivers in respect to the role.  It was hoped that a deal with Christijan Albers could have been struck for several Friday testing sessions but things didn't come together.  They are still talking to him.  If their deal was completed in time, Christijan would have driven probably alongside Ralph during last Fridays early morning testing session at Imola.

Jordan are due to test at Silverstone this week.  Ralph Firman in sole charge of testing duties on Wednesday and both Ralph and Giancarlo are expected at the circuit on Thursday.

Jordan will also test at the Northamptonshire circuit on May 22nd, June 4th and 5th, June 19th.  Tests are also planned for Barcelona on 9th and 10th July and Monza on the 3rd and 4th September.
