Jordan ready for Austria.

Backed up by a private test session at Silverstone last Thursday, Jordan are prepared for the next Grand Prix on the calendar. The Austrian Grand Prix may have lost a lot of it's magic over the years but it's always an eventful race and Jordan never seem to miss out!
Giancarlo scored the teams first points of the season here in 2002 and Takuma Sato was involved in quite probably the most spectacular crash of the year. We certainly hope that Ralph doesn't try to emulate him this year!
Speaking to the official site, Eddie Jordan said that Austria was a "Strange Race" for the team last year, however this year will be an opportunity to build on the eleven points already scored by Giancarlo and Ralph.
Fisi is no stranger to the A1 Ring. He was in Pole Position for the race in 1998 and with the competitive EJ13 underneath him, he is confident of scoring more points this weekend. Ralph's confidence is sky high after he scored his first point last time out and he's eager for more. "I’ve been skiing in Austria but never raced there and I’m looking forward to it as the circuit looks interesting with a few good overtaking opportunities." He said.
This year may see the last Grand Prix at the Austrian Circuit. Gary Anderson however won't miss racing here. "People say this might be the last Austrian Grand Prix but I’m not sentimental because the Austrian track that I knew, in the 70s, a good track, with nice big quick corners, has all gone anyway. It’s now a stop and go place. The real Austria went a long time ago." He said.
The first and third corners at the circuit are always full of incident. The circuit is full of slow corners but this is mixed with very fast straights. Last years race will live in infamy when Rubens Barrichello who had been strong all season was ordered by Ferrari to pull over for Michael Schumacher to take the win. He did so but not until 10 yards from the finish to the boo's of F1 fans the world over. Let's hope there's no repeat.
