Eddie Jordan says 2003 was a "Big Struggle".

Jordan Grand Prix are still very capable of winning the Formula One World Championship. So says team boss Eddie Jordan but was ready to admit that 2003 hadn't been the best of years and had in fact been a "big struggle".

Speaking to the Guardian Newspaper, Eddie said that the biggest disappointment of the season was that the team were unable to capitalise on Fisichella's belated victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo.

"We were never able to give our drivers the equipment they deserved on a consistent basis" he said. "It's bloody frustrating in this business trying to scrape by on a small budget when you can see the top teams operating on perhaps five times your money."

"We ran out of steam towards the end of the year" he admitted.  'This year was a real emotional roller coaster but I've always taken an upbeat view of my involvement in the Formula One business."

The team are due to test at Jerez during the latter weeks of January 2004.  It's not known if they will be using a EJ13 chassis and development parts or if the EJ14 will get it's first run out.  A more interesting point there however is who will be at the wheel?
