Jordan still unable to comment on Jos

Jos' management demanded a decision from Jordan by 4pm UK tonight. So far, there is no confirmation from Jordan but Trust say yes.

Jordan spokesperson Helen Temple told us a few days ago that negotiations for a drive were ongoing and that the team would not jeopardise negotiations by commenting until they were completed and tonight, she has reiterated this.  Any agreement at this point would be verbal and if the Vodafone incident was anything to go by, we all know what happens there.

Jordan have tested Nick Heidfeld again today in Barcelona and the rumour mill says that Jordan is trying to line up ex-sponsor DHL and Deutche World Post to back the German driver. 

Title sponsor Benson and Hedges still want a British driver in the team.  Allan McNish is still in the running as is Ralph Firman who lets not forget still has a contract for 2004.

Jordan intend to give the EJ14 it's first run at Silverstone on the 4th February, there is still plenty of time for Jordan to continue negotiations and still has the upper hand when it comes to choosing drivers.

If Verstappen is to return to F1 this year then he has to provide the package that Jordan need.  If it hasn't promised to Jordan then where does Trust get off?  It's no secret that the seat will go to the highest bidder.

More rumours surround Jos' sponsors favouring  Christijan Albers over Verstappen for the future.  Are they about to drop "The Boss" for an up and coming driver who has previously tested for the Silverstone based team.
