Huub Rothengatter will remain as Jos Verstappen's manager despite Eddie Jordan's public rebuking of his management style. Jordan said that the Dutch drivers manager was the stumbling block which halted Jos' charge to the final seat of the 2004 season.

Talks broke down not once but twice and despite a reported late plea by Verstappen, Jordan opted for the services of Giorgio Pantano.

Main sponsor Trust joined Jordan saying that they would stay on as Verstappen's backers but only if he found alternative representation.  Trust are eager to stay in Formula One and are hopeful that Jos may still get an opportunity to drive sometime later in the year.

On his official site, Verstappen defended his manager.  'I have said it before, Huub will stay my manager. It is thanks to him that I have been in Formula One for such a long time. He'll always be part of it.'
