Jordan fans frustrated by lack of comment

Jordan's fans are becoming increasingly restless in respect to the lack of team news which seems to emanate from the teams official channels. Hungry for news about the rumoured team takeover and engine supply etc, they feel frustrated over Jordan's refusal to comment.

"I'm just sick of it!" said message board poster crisis. "Why oh why is their always some rumour or other about Jordan. When this one [Jordan buyout rumours]  is done we will be into next years drivers and that will drag on until the day before the first grand prix. Not to mention engines and sponsorship."

Jordan are the fan friendly team, they consider themselves rock and roll even going so far as to be "On Tour 2004", however their silence isn't unexpected.  Clearly any rumour that involves Jordan will be read with interest by the team, however in respect to the rumours that are being circulated, if true are going to be commercially sensitive.  Commenting on any deal before it has been finalised or making announcements from the official source before completion could jeopardise negotiations or potentially give the upper hand to one of the parties involved.

Jordan's silence in respect to the rumours is therefore not surprising, however we asked Jordan if they would put the fan's minds at rest over the continuing rumours in connection with the team.

Jordan's PR replied: "We follow the stories with interest of course and it's not unusual that Jordan is associated with this kind of talk. As always, Jordan is interested in finding sponsors and partners who can help the team invest in its future and improve its performance. The team will always make an announcement or issue a press release if it concludes an agreement with sponsors or investors and unless or until there is something to report, there is nothing to say."
