Dark Times at the British Grand Prix

A cloud hangs over the first day of the British Grand Prix and I don't just mean the weather forcast. The sport this weekend stands to loose another long standing Formula One Team. I hope Jordan Fans will forgive me for giving time to this story.

The Arrows Formula One team is on the verge of collapse. The second team in only seven months under the cosh.

In a major court case yesterday, Arrows were prevented to rais cash to pay for their engines. This makes the future of the team extremely doubtful.

Arrows are in the paddock, although there have been no press statements released by the team Sky Digital believe that Heinz Harald Frentzen and Enrique Bernoldi have been told that they will be there to race on Sunday.

The team may not run as much as they would normally do. They are not obliged to run today or during practice tomorrow. Their only requirement is to run during qualifying. Even then they only need to complete one flying lap and will qualify if that lap is within 107% of pole.

Sky believe that Tom Walkinshaw is on the verge of the biggest deal in F1 history and that the Formula One Industry is set to help the team remain in the sport. They feel that Arrows' 25 year history is one reason why this team will not disappear overnight.

Tom is also believed to have put his hand in his pocket again to help pay for the engines they need for the weekend.

Questions have been raised however as to why Arrows left the free engine supply from Asiatech. Considering the fact that they were free, why did Arrows bill Asiatech?

Eddie Jordan believes however that Arrows will be at the circuit to participate in full and to race.
Eddie said: "I have known Tom a long time and he is a fighter. He is a miracle worker and he will be here."
