Jordan put up a brilliant display in the first two sessions of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. In torrential rain, both Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato put their EJ12's straight into the Top 6 . Giancarlo finished 3rd fastest and Takuma ended the session in 5th.
Jordan regularly test at the Northampton circuit and Takuma drove there in the Formula 3 championship last season so they are very used to the track and the conditions.
Eddie Jordan said that times today didn't matter. The main work was on setup for Sunday's race.
Fisi:
"The car went well today, as it usually does in wet conditions. We are quite
confident about tomorrow. If it is wet we could be on the third or fourth row,
although if it is dry we may find it difficult to reach the top ten."
Taku:
"Bridgestone brought us very good intermediate tyres which meant we were able to
be very quick. I am confident at this circuit and I have been able to go flat
out immediately."
Gary Anderson was happy with the team's performance and is confident that the car will remain good in the wet, although it is difficult to tell how things will go as and when the conditions change.
The forecast for Sunday is for cloudy skies but no rain.
