Ex Jordan driver Frentzen quits Arrows

In a shock move ex Jordan driver Heinz Harald Frentzen has quit his drive at Arrows. Rumours abounded with respect to his future at Arrows. He looked set to remain for the last five races of the year, however his uncertainty over the future of the team has forced him to quit the Leafield outfit.

The statement on Heinz's website said:
"OrangeArrows and I have announced today that we have agreed to bring our contractual relationship to an end.

Due to the unfortunate difficulties they face, I thought it would be best to step back so that we may both focus on our respective futures. I would like to thank the entire team for the 12 races I did for them and wish them all the very best for the future. They have real potential and I hope they are able to reach their goals.

I am in the process of sorting out my future in Formula 1 as I am still in love with the sport and full of enthusiasm. I will let you know my future plans as soon as I can."

Arrows problems therefore continue.  Can the race a single car for the remainder of the season?  Will they need to bring an emergency driver to pilot the spare chassis?  Is this Jos Verstappen's return to F1. 

We certainly hope that Heinz can find a home for 2003.  Toyota would seem a safe enough bet.  Jordan is unlikely as a result of the pending legal action.  Will Heinz drop the action to get a drive?
