Dimi hands in transfer request

Well the speculation continues but it keeps changing. Not a week after claiming he was happy to be staying at Hartlepool it is believed Dimi has now asked the club to let him speak to Coventry if the offer comes along
He was going, then he was staying and now it looks like he could be going again. Dimi Konstantopolous has told Hartlepool United to let him talk to Coventry if they make an offer. The news will come as somewhat of a shock as not a week ago the Greek stopper said he was happy to stay at Hartlepool and the speculation 'didnt bother him'.
If the deal goes through Dimi will be the 4th player to leave the club this month as Adam Boyd, Tommy Butler and Darrel Clarke have all left the club. It is still believed that Darren Williams wants away from Hartlepool and is still intersted in a move to Sheffield United.
With Danny Wilson claiming he wishes to add new faces after saturdays performance against Walsall it could be that more players will be leaving The Vic as Hartlepool's wage udget is over 60% of the clubs turnover.
Micky Adams has admitted showing an interest as he currently only has one keeper, Andy Marshall at the Ricoh Arena
If Dimi moves on it is not doom and gloom though. The superstar of a few seasons ago Jim Provett would probably be reinstated as first team keeper. Dimi and Jim provett shared the role of first team keeper under Neale Cooper but when Martin Scott took over Dimi made the role of Number 1 his own and kept his position all season.
