Transfer Rule lifted

It is the news everyone at Hartlepool has been waiting for but has it come to late. It has been made publicly aware that Hartlepool have been unable to sign players as the wages of the players was over 60% of the clubs turnover. However after several players have left and the clubs owners have gave addition financial information to the FA the ban has been lifted

However the season has already started and most clubs have already finished their exploits in the transfer market. It was rumoured that Hartlepool were interested in signing former Boston player Julian Joachim but last night he signed for local rivals Darlington.

Danny Wilson stated after the Walsall game that he was eager to add to his squad but said it 'wasnt a problem as we have a terrific bunch of lads here'. So what does this now mean? Who will Wilson be after. Pools have been linked with plenty of players over the last few months and have been unable to sign them.

Some may feel that if the rule had'nt been inflicted upon the club then Adam Boyd and Tommy Butler wouldn't have left.

However we must now look forward to see who is brought in as it is unlikely the club will have gone through all the trouble of having the ban lifted for nobody to be brought in
