Danny Wilson has admitted there is no chance Adam Boyd will be returning to Hartlepool on loan despite Pools' obvious problems in front of goal

Fans on the terraces have often suggested and hoped that former fan favourite Adam Boyd would make a come back to Victoria Park. However any hope of that has been quashed by Danny Wilson.

Pools have had one great week and we managed to bag 12 goals but apart from then Pools have only managed another 8. There is a clear problem when we are going forward.

It seems as though every time one of our strikers gets the ball their back is to goal and all they can do is pass the ball backwards. Long gone have the days of quick football with throughballs for the strikers to run on to and have shots from.

Adam Boyd became an instant hit at Hartlepool but went through bad spells but after his return from loan with Boston he became one of League 1's best strikers and with 29 goals in one season it was clear to see why bigger clubs were after him. However the season we were relegated he spent most of it out injured and only managed 4 goals.

Danny Wilson admitted he has made enquiries into other players.
