Desperate for a win and to end the rot, Pools travel to Accrington who are placed above Pools but only on goal difference

This Saturday will be the first meeting between Pools and Stanley for 45 years. Last seasons Conference Champions are currently 1 place above Pools but only on goal difference.

Hartlepool will have Duffy back in their side after he was ineligible to play in the cup tie against Rochdale last week. John Brackstone (hernia), Micky Proctor (knee) and Joel Porter (knee) are all unable to play. It also seems unlikely Sweeney will play a part after he only returned to training on Thursaday.

Accrington boss John Coleman will be boosted by the returns of Robbie Williams, Andy Proctor and Peter Kavanagh.

Saturday should be a fun day for us fans will have a fun day with rain forecast and an open terrace to stand in. The ground is one of the smaller grounds in the division, with a capacity of 5 057 with one of the best ground names 'The Fraser Eagle Stadium).
