Pools will play Mac Town

Hartlepool last night found out they would be playing Macclesfield in the second round of the FA Cup after the Silkmen beat Walsall 1-0 at the Bescot Stadium.

Macclesfield left it late to beat Walsall but an 83rd minute goal from Jim McNulty was enough for Paul Ince to secure his first win as manager at Macclesfield

Hartlepool's first away game of the season was at Moss Rose and it was nothing to get excited about as both sides failed to score an it finished 0-0.
