Grimsby Preview

A win today will not move Hartlepool up the league but a win will break Hartlepools record of 6 straight wins. Hartlepool have been in perfect form recently and will be hoping it can continue into the new year
Grimsby at Victoria Park will always bring back good memories of that 8-1 thrashing we handed them. Todays game will be all about 3 points for Danny Wilsons men as they aim to break the club record with 7 straight victories. The players were rewarded for the fine form with Christmas day off
Hartlepool Team News
The Hartlepool side practically picks itself at the moment. The only change that can be expected is Matty Robson returning to left wing after Monkhouse returned to Swindon.Monkhouse had a very successful spell on loan at Hartlepool. The rest of the side seems to be playing the best football in the league. The defense hasn't conceded a goal in 5 games, Willie Boland is controlling the games from the centre and Tony Sweeney is in the form of his life, even if it is in the unfamiliar role of Right-Wing.
Grimsby Team News
Hartlepool have a nice treat for todays game. Grimsby's top marksman Gary Jones is out due to suspension after receiving his second red card of the season against Lincoln. Paul Bolland and John McDermott are both out with injury.
The current form of the two sides is pretty good. Hartlepool have the slightly better form but Grimsby have only lost one game in their last four and that was away to promotion chasers Lincoln.
